Tips for Researching Family History

My Blog on Ancestry Pursuit offers tips to avoid pitfalls while researching genealogy and family history.  For instance, some surnames posted on the Internet may not have been verified by the researcher and post of their ancestors' information may lead you astray on your own family tree. It is important to follow documentation, such as, birth certificates, marriage records, death certificates, funeral records, cemetery records, military records and actual Wills. In doing that, you can be assured to have the correct ancestor in your genealogical records.

I have added more posts to my blog sharing some of the unusual places I found surnames for my personal family tree that, in turn, helped others fill in blanks on their own family history. In addition, I posted a holistic recipe sent via handwritten letter from mother to her daughter regarding an herbal remedy toward the daughter regaining her health.
